Side by side in our dragon boat, paddling as one, (usually), perfecting our techniques, and together giving one more strong pull to “win the race”.
No matter how positive one’s outlook, having breast cancer is fearful and full of negatives. Bosom Buddies’ activities are not only fun, they give us all a healthful, hopeful and joyful look at how fortunate we are to be survivors, and how fortunate we are to have come together as such a supportive group.
Each of our buddies is an individual, some full of jokes, some serious, some more athletic, some less, most with hair, some without, but each and every one is kind, considerate and caring for each and every other one of the group. Bosom Buddies has been a wonderful new adventure for me, a team that may occasionally not come first, but will indeed always win.
